I tried these lights after my experience with angle mount LED security lights became negative. Those used to be fully functional day or night but the more recent models of the angle mount ones work at night only. These are flush mount and work great for screwing into my ceiling logs in my log cabin. They really brighten things up-I don't know how anyone can say they are not bright--maybe because they turned them on right away after coming in from bright daylight. The remote control works great and allows you to adjust both lights easily. Their battery capacity isn't enough--it is only one LiIon 4400 mah. In my dark cabin which is in northern Maine and has a lot of rainy or cloudy days, and especially in the fall and spring, where daylight hours or short, the batteries can't keep up with the drain. I could care less about the motion detector, and didn't rate that, though it works fine. The solar panel is nice size and puts out a good charge--but the cables are too short. I have to mount the panel about six feet from the cabin wall in order to get the sun, and then need another eight to nine feet to get the overhead lamps where I want them.The quality of the light from these units is very nice, and I like them much more than the ceiling pendant lights I later bought only because I was told they were capable of adding a second battery to. I'm still waiting to see how to do that. The solar panel on those is also too small to provide a full charge to both batteries, and you really don't need a motion detector indoors, though it comes in handy at times.The customer support is fantastic--they got right back to me and have been very helpful, giving me a an extension cable for the flat ceiling lights. I highly recommend Uponun to all. I will find out in June how well these lamps work after a very cold winter up north. I assume they will be fine.Thank you to customer service--it is the best I've ever had from a seller on Amazon.
