The fan looks good and, unlike a lot of LED lighted fans I've seen, the light actually puts out a lot of light.I would not say installation is for your average consumer. The instructions aren't super clear/detailed. If you've installed fans before it won't be too bad, but if this is your first fan, I'd stick with Hunter or something similar. Admittedly, I made a mistake when installing it by grouping the black/blue wire from the receiver to the black/blue of the fan motor. This produced some very unpredictable results with the remote control, but when I decoupled the blue/blacks then the remote control worked as expected.But.....without question, the one thing I wish I knew ahead of time (and I'll double check the instructions on this).....you REALLY need to loosen at least two opposing screws on the ceiling mount next to the receiver for the downroad. These are the screws that hold the cover in place when you're all finished. By the time I was ready to put the cover on, I had to find a very small screwdriver that would fit between the cover and the top of the fan motor to loosen the screws. Then, after cramming everything into the cover these are the screws that you'll slip the cover onto and then tighten. Either way, you're going to need a very small screwdriver, or ideally an allen wrench with a phillips head, to tighten the screws. This was a huge PITA.The other nit I'd have is, if you hook it up to a power switch, when you turn the switch on the default is to fire up the light. I suppose I could just leave the power switch on all the time and control the light from the remote, but frankly it's easier to just hit the switch on the way in/out of the room. It would be nicer if when you power off the switch the fan remembered where the light position was (on or off) and return to that vs. just firing up the light.Again, fan looks nice and seems to operate well...but installation was no fun whatsoever, especially when I got to the part about the screws in the mount.Fan is nice looking and quiet. However, the fan speeds are too high. Low is what would be considered by most to be a high medium. The high speed gives as much wind as a jet taking off. Would not purchase again. Stuck with it because I had to pay to have an electrician install in ceiling. The instructions are poorly written. Installation of blades after the body is hung from ceiling is very difficult. I suggest that the blades are mounted first and then the fan is mounted in its bracket. We wanted a simple, modern fan with a black base, blades that matched our furniture & a remote. This is it! It was super easy to install and it really moves the air around. We highly recommend it!You're not able to connect the remote and your light switch on the wall to operate the fan and light separately. The fan looks smaller (once installed) in person than the measurements stated in the product description. It looks to be cheaply made. I was most disappointed in the lack of air that it stirs up and actually cools off. My previous fan that was smaller did a far superior job of moving air and cooling the room. I am pretty disappointed in the overall installation, look, and functionality of the fan. I also enjoy a bit of sound created by a ceiling fan. This fan produces practically no noise. That part is just personal preference. This fan was used and I bought as a new one. It’s not fair !!Looks nothing like what the picture looks like. Looks really cheap
