I ordered three of these lights and they do look great installed, however, after opening the box, I noticed that EVERY globe had a nasty hazy residue. eventually I was able to remove the residue by hand after a lot of elbow grease. First, I washed each globe by hand in mild soap, second I washed all in the dishwasher on a gentle cycle, third (and this is the only thing that worked) I used a soft sponge and some Barkeeper's Friend (BTW...I highly recommend this product (Barkeepers Friend). I still can't understand why these lights were sent to me in such poor condition. My next complaint is that, it is very obvious that all these lights were made in China with overall poor quality of certain parts. There was also some residue on the hanging rods and on the round globe holder which I was able to ultimately remove by gentle scrubbing with a wet sponge and a little more Barkeeper's Friend. These are only hanging from the ceiling, will rarely be touched again (except for cleaning) so I anticipate no issues with function. I remain disappointed that the company selling these lights can't provide a quality product which is equal in value to the high price. Love the looks of the lights. Not happy with the overall quality or condition in which they were received.Gorgeous light! Very happy with my purchase.
