For the giant size and massive watts I hoped it would be brighter than the sun but it is no brighter that the smaller fluorescent light I had up before. Don't get me wrong it is bright enough and does the job in my kitchen well.The remote is great as is the color temp adjustments and the ability to control dimming. I can't seem to get the phone app to work - yet.I love how flat it is and not embellished at all so it's not completely noticeable when off or on which is what I was going for.Very happy it came in all white as I assumed I would have to paint it white to blend with my ceiling (pictures show silver).Would be easier to install/wire up with 2 people as the wires are not very long (but can be easily replaced if necessary).
