This piece gave birth to and inspired Valerie's venture into spiritual music, and was the centerpiece of Valerie's new recording, 'Lights.' 'Lights,' Valerie's debut album, is a collection of spiritual and inspirational music, ranging from classical (Bach, Handel) to traditional gospel to more contemporary song styles. 'Lights' also features the world premiere recording of 'Welcome to this New World.' Valerie appears on the album with her long-time collaborator, pianist/conductor David Maiullo. Also appearing on the album is Lauren Longo, the composer of 'Welcome to this New World,' which Valerie also premiered in concert.
