People comment on this light all the time when they walk in our house. It is unique and really makes our kitchen pop. I do agree with another commenter that this does not produce a ton of light and in addition because of the color tone of the glass diffuser the light that is produced has a greenish cast. Because we have neutral recessed lighting above it is not that big of a deal but as stand alone lighting this would be an unattractive light quality even thought the fixture itself is stunning!We love the look & the size of this fixture! If you plan on using it just for its cosmetic appeal you'll be happy & could give it 5 stars. We we're hoping for both a great looking fixture that provided decent lighting. We've tried all the different versions of bulbs from traditional to CFL & LED.Unfortunately, we can't get the brightness we were hoping for unless you ignore the 60 watt rating & oversize the bulb which is not recommended.Great for romantic dinners but, not for reading purposes which is why we couldn't give it a higher rating. We're keeping it just because it looks so good. We'll do our reading somewhere else in our home.
