Overall, I'd say this is good, but with some limitations.The light:This light could be a little brighter but it works for an average size room. It defaults to a basic cool, white light but the color and brightness can be changed through the remote. If you use only the remote to control the light, the brightness and color will be remembered.The fan:It's quiet enough but it also doesn't move a ton of air, but it doesn't need to as it's not designed to do the work of a regular fan. As it's mounted up near the ceiling, it's intended to circulate air for both cooling and warming, reversing the flow for whichever mode you want. It'll sucks cooler air up for circulation or forces the warmer air near the ceiling down when warming a space.Installation:It does come with a carabiner-hanger and wire set pre-attached, which is nice. Hook the carabiner to the support or box and the lamp will hang down, freeing you to use both hands to do the installation. (Having this bit is probably also required for sale in the US to meet safety regulations and building codes.) Plenty of hardware was included.Drawback(s):Almost all functions are ONLY accessible through the remote so if you lose the remote all you can do is turn the light on and off- no control of the fan, color mode, or brightness is available. (To be fair, this is common on all of these kinds of fan-lamps. Regardless, it's still poor design.)If you use the normal wall switch to turn the light on and off, it won't save any color, fan, or brightness settings. It'll default to white light, no fan when turned on the next time. To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a drawback or not.Summary:Well....I'm not super excited about it but I also don't hate it. It does what it says it does and reasonably well.In conclusion:It does look nice, no complaints there. And it does light the room. I just wish there was some additional way to control it. If you lose the remote or it breaks, you're boinked. (But again, this is true of every fan/light combo out there that I know of.)I think it's a decent light, worth giving it a try. It'll grow on you.Well the fan and light were very easy to install to the box I had for the vintage fan I removed. The headache is getting the TUYA app to work. I tried my android phone and my android tablet to get the app to work. After many tries with the "timeout" message, uninstalling and reinstalling the Tuya app I finally got the app to work when I turned the fan on with the light on. Apparently everything must be turned on to get the Tuya app to connect. I am still having problems getting the fan and light to work with Alexa. I hope this can help anyone else who seems to can not get the Tuya app to work. I do have other devices on the Tuya app so I knew how to use the app before I bought the fan. After doing a network channel reset on my home network, Alexa now works with the light and fan. I set it up with Alexa and waited a couple of hours and all tested OK.This office fan light does exactly what it is supposed to. Installation was easy, and the light and fan work perfectly. The remote control is easy to understand and use. The light temperature can be changed from a very warm to a very cold light temperature. Fan can be reversed using the remote control.Alexa integration was automatic with the use of the “Tuya Smart” app. It needs to be installed as a amart fan. Voice control works great after learning:”Alexa turn -Name- on [1 to 6]” controls fan speed”Alexa turn -Name- on/off” turns on and off fan”Alexa turn -Name- Light on/off” controls light”Alexa turn -Name- Light on full” turn light on 100%”Alexa turn -Name- Light on [1% to 100%] dims and brightens lightAnd so on.Don't like can't dim light enough, or ligjt comes on after electric goes off and on, but r overall it is pretty and works.Easy install. Fan is almost silent. My only negative critique would be when dimming the light u either have to tap a bunch of times or hold the button longer than what I’m used toI would have given this a 5 star but I contacted the company and asked to buy a second remote control so I could have one at the bottom of the stairs and one at the top but they flatly refused to sell me an extra. If you don't have a 2.4 G network you can't use the app on your phone. I like the light and fan but was really bummed that they wouldn't sell me another remoteThe remote control works great, easy to install, the noise level is minimal. The Alexa function is for the fan speed is not functional. Overall, this is a good buy.
