I purchased these lights for the guest room, often occupied by my nieces or nephews, and this room is in need of some light! I love how bright the lights are and the easy installation. I’ll definitely purchase these lights again. Definitely added to the youthful, clean look I was shooting for in this room.These light will be perfect for my kitchen! They are bright and very inviting!Wrapped it on the back of my tv and it has added the most amazing ambiance to watching movies and they are great quality.This light strip is just as bright as my other COB light strip. However, I don’t understand why it comes with such a massive power supply. It’s literally about the size of most laptop power adapters. The other COB light strips that I have comes with a much smaller power supply and they have dimmers included. While in some cases, the larger power supply would not matter as much. However, if you decide to install the lights under a kitchen cabinet or the ceiling, the larger power supply becomes very cumbersome to hide. Moreover, the power supply doesn’t have any way to mount on vertical surfaces. Some LED cove lights that I installed in the past all have power supply with screw tabs built in. This allows for the light to be mounted in various places. This very large, laptop style power supply is just simply too cumbersome.That said, I’m hoping that the benefit of the larger power supply is the ability to solder several COB light strips together without losing any brightness. I will have to run the experiment once I’m able to get more light strips. Until then, this light strip comes up short in the ratings compared to other COB lights of comparable price.My photo shows this strip lighting up a 500 square foot area with a non-reflective 12 foot ceiling. (No other lights are on in the room.) I'm impressed! The strip is COB rather than more discrete LEDs like you find on other similar 12 and 24 volt strips. I've found that COB flashlights tend to be brighter and that appears to be true for these kinds of room-lighting strips as well. The strip appears to be well made. I don't see any imperfections or places that create concern. It is only rated at IP20 which means for me that it will be staying inside. That's a bit of a surprise because the COBs are encased in what feels like a silicon material. One of the advantages of strips with discrete LEDs is that you can cut them with no harm done. There's no evidence you can do that with this strip. I also doubt there are any bypasses in this strip, so that if any part fails the rest would still light up --another possible disadvantage. Shop carefully. Bottom line: I acquired this strip knowing it was using COBs. So there's no surprise that it doesn't appear to be cuttable. The brightness of the strip and the protection of the COBs with the silicon layer more than make up for it.I converted our kitchen light to LED strips a few years ago. I recently noticed that on one strip most of the LEDs had burned out. I replaced it with this one. The silicone covering the LEDs makes it look like a continuous strip of light instead of a string of individual LEDs. it seems a little brighter than the strips I used before. So far it has stuck well to the ceiling and looks nice. I consider it an improvement over the previous one.Great quality led lights . Easy installation as well . Highly recommend if your looking for led stripsPlaced these around gaming station in my room. They were easy to install and easy to adjust. Love the way they look! Will be ordering more for my daughter’s room
