UPDATE #2: I contacted the manufacturer about the fan no longer working, and was sent a new fan within a few days. Unfortunately, it too didn't work (same issue, the light came on but the fan didn't spin). I reached out to the manufacturer again and received a second replacement within a matter of days. It arrive today, and works as advertised.I suspect the first replacement was a refurbished model as it didn't come in the original box (just a plastic bag) and was missing the power cable. The second one came complete just as new.So, my rating went from a five stars to one for it quitting after three months, and now back up to four stars for the quick customer service by the manufacturer. I hope this one will last longer than three months (I'll update this review again if it doesn't), and the only reason my rating didn't return to the original five stars was the first fan dying in just a few months and getting non-functioning refurbished one as a replacement the first time.I still really like this fan and hope these two that quit were just flukes!UPDATE: Well, I knew it was too good to be true! After three months, the fan no longer works. The light comes on, but the actual fan itself doesn't anymore. I am disappointed, as it was excellent while it was working, but now I am not sure if I will waste money on another one. I'll have to see if Amazon warranties it, but at this price point I am doubtful. It's really too bad, as when it was working, it was a great fan!I gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first ordered this fan. I was looking for something very specific and this was the closest item I could find. I wasn't too sure about the tripod, especially as I didn't know how I was going to mount it atop my Litefighter tent. I figured I would figure something out...The fan was delivered today (a day after I ordered it) and I was amazed at how quiet it was. First, it helps to make sure the fan blades are snapped in place! I didn't and they went flying when I turned it on. That was quickly and easily fixed. Once properly assembled, it blew quite a lot of air with minimal noise. I was happy about that. The two-stage light looked good, but I would have to see how it worked in my tent before I could tell for sure.I couldn't wait until I went camping next month, so I set the tent up in our game room and immediately was able to mount the fan/light using the tripod legs putting them into the two pockets at the top. It worked great, except it centered the fan at my stomach when I laid down. The light was perfectly positioned.Then I noticed two loops about a third of the way down towards where my head would lay. I found a quick wooden dowl, put two small rubber rings on the ends, and put each side through the loops. I then mounted the fan/light around the dowl and now it's in the perfect location.Given how inexpensive this fan/light is, I have concerns how well it will hold up. It seems well made but will it last? Only time will tell, but in the mean time it's everything I was looking for. Even if it does break at some point, at this price it's essentially disposable; and if it lasts than that's gravy!
