Does the job for hanging flower pots from the hooks. Value is great. It seems the hooks are on the low spectrum of steel quality. Some hooks tend to corrode around the base and break off in time. Hopefully it doesn't occur with these hooks.I used these to hang a number of items on my garage wall. Installation is simple - I screw a small pilot hole and screw in by hand. The coating keeps from scratching tools and have been holding up well for the last few months. I will hang some of these outside for holding plants and will update later on that if needed.They seem sturdy enough and the hook parts are well coated. I could use a file to remove the burrs but just don't have the time.They are designed to be self-tapping so you don't need to drive a pilot hole, but not sure how well that would work with the burrs.I'm always needing hooks like this and use them mainly in the garden for stringing wires for climbing plants and hanging bird feeders and ornamental objects. These hooks are larger than I thought (about 2.5 inches) and work well for the bigger jobs. The quality is excellent. They are sturdy and have a plastic coating. They are easy to screw in by hand in most of the woods I've tried.
