The fan unit is well designed, quiet, and easy to install. I needed a 6-inch downrod for my sloped ceiling and found that the matte silver downrod available separately matched the color of the gray fan.Unfortunately the wall control unit supplied is not as well designed. You must remove the control unit from the outlet box in the wall to replace the two batteries powering it, which is difficult for my full outlet box containing other switches. The radio remote control can also be subject to pairing difficulties. Note that you can instead control the fan and light with the Hunter 27182 wall-mounted control, which requires no batteries. To do this, you must have have a 3-wire cable connecting the wall-mounted control to the fan (fan, light, and neutral, plus ground). For this option, don't install the remote receiver in the fan. Instead wire the black wire from the fan to the wire from the fan control, the blue wire to the wire from the light control, and the white neutral wires together. See the instructions for the 27182 controller for details. I chose this option and it worked well.
