First I want to say I am glad this comes with 8 screws and 8 anchors! The reason why it comes with 8 is because 4 would be used total for a wall application, or the other 4 used for ceiling application. I assumed I would had to have bought anchors but they come included. Since ceiling anchors are included, I was able to mount these as close to the ceiling and wall as possible to allow the curtains to hang closer against the wall and not have to worry about finding the joists or studs. (Don't forget to still check for A/C current using a scanner before drilling holes) If anyone is wondering, 2 anchors and screws are used on 1 bracket and the other 2 on the other bracket. After installing on ceiling, it feels really tight and feels nice and sturdy. It also includes an allen wrench which is used for the set screw (included) which tightens down against the rod. The brackets are pretty small and do not stand out too bad. I think the design looks really nice even hanging from a ceiling. It also includes an instruction diagram which includes the size drill bits you will need to use. I can imagine these could also be used for hanging up other items besides just curtain rods if you were planning to hang anything that would at least fit through the 1" diamter of the ring. It does not separate however and is all one piece construction. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a curtain rod to be installed via ceiling. It can be used on wall as well. And seeing how it comes with everything you need to install it (except drill bit, screwdriver and obviously a rod) I would say this is a very bang for your buck item.I was looking to hang drapes via ceiling mount because the place I'm renting has floor to ceiling windows. I wish they also came in a shorter size because the hang a little longer than I wanted but its the best I could find in the color I wanted. They would be spot on for wall mount because they would come out from the window.These curtain brackets look very nice and work very well for windows that go all the way up to the ceiling. The height is perfect when I put the curtain and rod on these brackets. I would've given it a 5 stars if it wasn't for the cheap mounting screws that come with these brackets. One of the screw head sheared off without much force. I have to drill it out of the plastic anchor. If you purchase these brackets, I would highly recommend purchasing higher quality screws and toss the ones that come with these brackets. It's a shame because the cheap screws match well with the brackets.We just remodeled our basement to include a master bedroom with a huge egress window. An egress window with a big wide opening for exiting that we dug out on our own with shovels last summer. True story! Anyway, the window itself goes right up to the crown molding, so there's not really any room to install a standard curtain rod anywhere on the wall. This ceiling mount bracket was the perfect solution. I thought it might look weird having brackets attached to the ceiling, but they actually look great and help elongate the room; an important feature for a less-than-standard-height basement bedroom. Simple to install, great fit for our cheap-o IKEA rod (til we can find something better). It's a neat design; I bet this would also look great on a wall. Thank you very much!I like these for hanging a curtain on a ceiling.They were easy to use but I bought longer screws that came with a toggler bolt because I don't think the curtains would be supported by the screws that came with the product (4 stars?)We live in a small house and this was used to separate a desk/study area from a sleeping area in the same room. I bought some very think curtains and used some toggler bolts to hang three of these up to give a dark sleep even when a computer is on at the study area. When not needed the curtains pull back giving back the open feel to the room.Remember if using from a ceiling you have to add the curtain and rod BEFORE you put all these up, or you won't be able to get the rod/curtains in.I bought 2 of these packages to hang a Room Divider that was 8ftx15ft tall. I didn't know how many brackets I needed and only 2 were included in 1 package. I ended up using 3 to hold up my curtains and its bee about 2 months and they are still holding strong. The place I needed to hang the divider did not match up with a wall stud so these brackets worked perfectly. There was only one spot where it mounted to a wooden beam and the other 2 brackets were on a drywall in the ceiling. All the wooden screws and dry wall screws were included in the package so I didn't need to run out and buy screws to match. The quality of the brackets is very durable. Great product.I'm using these as wall mounts. They're plenty strong for thermal blackout curtains into plaster walls with the supplied plastic anchors. If you like a simple curtain rod look I used 3/4" id gray PVC electrical conduit (10 ft. @ $2.33 ea. @ H.D.), Cut to length, spray painted, and inserted a 2 ft. wooden dowel to prevent possible sagging. Used a third bracket in the center of a double window. Rods for nine windows for less than the cost of one "real" curtain rod.FYI...The image here doesn't show the set-screw.Because of its length and thinness, you have to be careful not to hit it or push it sideways.Such a good way to elevate your curtains !Not a fan of the large brackets and these were a perfect alternative. Easy to install, solid and beautiful finish. We ended up ordering 6 more for the rest of the house. Highly recommendWorks great in a large opening right inside my door. I leave the privacy curtains open during the day.Closed if going for an evening shower / bath OR if we are having a gathering of friends. Están muy caros para lo que son pero no encontré algo similar a un mejor precio, ni modo.Por cuestiones de que en la pared tenemos viga no se podía poner el cortinero en la pared, recurrimos a estos en el techo y de verdad se ven bien.. Son pequeños por lo que el cortinero debe ser un tubo delgado. De verdad valen la pena.Producto muy bonito. El metal es de muy buena calidad. Sólido y con buenos terminados. Excelente relación calidad-precio.
