Converted a ceiling fan from chain controls to wall switches. Had been miswired by a previous owner. Tied the hot wire in to one side of this cap and the input side of the reversing switch. Tied the output side of the capacitor to the fan input lead. Works like a champ in all three speeds, and the fan direction switch works properly now.Keep in mind, this capacitor only works if something else is controlling the fan speeds (wall switch in my case). If your fan has chain control then you lost likely will need a multi-lead capacitor. Or you can wire this in for constant full-speed!Anyway, this works great and the price was awesome.
